I just sent a letter to the Obama administration via this page. Here it is, short and sweet

"I would like to encourage the new administration to look deeply into the issues and allegations of wrongdoing surrounding the previous administration's authorization and use of warrant less wire taps. This is a fundamental civil rights issue for all Americans, and if conversations of regular citizens are being monitored with no authorization, oversight, or warrants, the people responsible must be held accountable."

After 34 years of working for basic fairness for all Oregonians and their families, Oregon has taken a historic step forward by passing two basic fairness laws--one banning discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and one creating Domestic Partnerships. After so many years of struggle, we are now poised to end discrimination against and provide security to GLBT Oregonians and their families. This is a HUGE victory! Now the work begins to ensure that both of these laws stay laws.
A group of vocal and organized opponents have collected signatures to force a public vote our new laws. These opponents don't represent the values of most Oregonians... but they shouldn't be underestimated.
